Founding Journals

Prof. Tianhong Cui is the founding Executive Editor-in-Chief for two Nature journals, Light: Science & Applications and Microsystems & Nanoengineering. He is also serving as the founding Editor-in-Chief for the first AAAS/Science Partner Journal titled Research.

Light: Science & Applications

Light: Science & Applications (LSA) seeks to promote research from all aspects of optics and photonics, including basic, applied and engineering research and applications. This journal will primarily publish new research results in cutting-edge and emerging topics in optics and photonics, as well as covering traditional topics in optical engineering. The journal will publish original articles and reviews that are of high quality, high interest, and far-reaching consequence. Light: Science & Applications is an open access, online-only journal. Article metrics such as number of downloads, citations and online attention are available from each article page, and provide an overview of the attention received by a paper.

Microsystems & Nanoengineering

Microsystems & Nanoengineering is an online-only, open access international journal devoted to publishing original research results and reviews on all aspects of Micro and Nano Electro Mechanical Systems from fundamental to applied research. The journal is published by Springer Nature in partnership with the Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, supported by the State Key Laboratory of Transducer Technology. Microsystems & Nanoengineering publishes new content weekly, as papers are accepted. An open-access journal, Microsystems & Nanoengineering will offer authors a choice of Creative Commons licenses, including Creative Commons Attribution. Published research articles will be freely accessible online to a global audience immediately on publication. Research

Research was launched in 2018 as the first journal in the Science Partner Journal (SPJ) program. Research is distributed by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in association with Science and Technology Review Publishing House, the publishing house under the leadership of China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). As with all participants in the Science Partner Journal (SPJ) program, Research is editorially independent of the Science family of journals and CAST is responsible for all content published in the journal. Research is a wide-ranging multidisciplinary journal that aims to publish original content reflecting new and innovative discoveries and important issues in engineering and applied sciences. Research content is open access, published under a Creative Commons Attribution License. This means that content is freely available to all readers upon publication.
